Summary

The platform leverages proprietary AI and machine learning technology to draw insights from production, sales and logistics to help retailers locate hotspots and benchmark carbon footprints while providing meaningful ways to lower emissions. Vaayu, which is backed by Atomico, Seven Seven Six and Capital T, currently works with 50+ brands including WTC, Klarna, SellerX, Missoma and Organic Basics.  By 2030, Vaayu aims to help retailers reduce 1 gigaton of carbon emissions, the equivalent to the combined emissions produced by Germany and France annually. Vaayu was created in 2020 by Namrata Sandhu and Luca Schmid. Together they have extensive experience in retail, technology and climate science, including senior positions at Arcadia, Zalando and Vimcar.
