Setting a new standard for more sustainably grown cotton
Sustainably grown cotton where full transparency is a reality and continuous improvement to reduce environmental footprint is the central goal. The program’s mission is to bring quantifiable, verifiable goals and measurement to the key sustainability metrics of U.S. cotton production. It is also the world’s first sustainable cotton fiber to offer article-level supply chain transparency to all members.
The Trust Protocol is committed to U.S. cotton’s legacy of authenticity, innovation, and excellence, environmental stewardship, caring of people, and personal and corporate integrity.
Within its first year, the initiative amassed 560 brand and retailer, mill, and manufacturer members. It also became recognised by Textile Exchange and the Forum for the Future, part of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, and published in the ITC Standards Map.
